  • 06/2009 - K.S.F. 8 - Banbury 7: 28th June In a sweltering rink and with me really unsure why all players and especially the Net minders did not melt, KSF Vipers youth went for their fourth consecutive win. Banbury, having not won a game this season were anticipated as an easier option than the likes of Oxford (Who KSF Youth beat for the first time in many years two Weeks ago). We knew it would not be that easy though as one of their players is no 6 in the top scorers list. First half we went one up early with a nice unassisted goal from our star this year Orion. We made a decision to leave the power play line on hold first half with the view that we should win this without the need for this and therefore giving our newer members more pitch time. Banbury then matched us goal for goal and they went in front 5-4 at half time-a lesson in never underestimating the opposition! Second half it was time to change strategy and use our power play line. This worked well and we then led for most of the second half with a solid if not emphatic victory. Emily McLaughlin was man of the Match having given her best performance yet and did some great fore checking work. Kit scored twice, one great slap shot from point and Ryan came close with a free hit, Orion scored 4 and James 2. KSF Youth retain their winning streak having now we are third in the league, having won four in four and have beaten every team in the league except Brighton. The team has grown in skill and confidence exponentially so far this season and the team spirit is bang on-these guys (and girl!) are really starting to anticipate each others play. • 06/2009 - GET INKED: How much of a K.S.F. player are you? Die hard original member Ian Ferris #17 showed us his worth, celebrating his retirement with this awesomeTattoo of the Kingston Street Flyers Crest (also found on our homepage). We want to see more players doing this kinda stuff so send in your pics with your name and age. The youngest player to get inked for the rest of his life may even get a prize! but don't count on it!
  • 06/2009 - K.S.F. 10 - Allstars 3: K.S.F. faced off against a small Allstar squad that was only able to muster 4 outfield players and their goalie meaning they would not have any subs to rest during the forty minute game. Kingston was also under staffed with Harding #18 still out with a broken finger and White #81 unable to make the game. It was another hot Sunday and the sports hall had the reminiscent odour and stuffiness which can only be associated with the mass gathering of Skater hockey teams playing in the midst of summer. K.S.F. playing in white, had a sense of urgency in this game an very quickly stamped authority on their opposition with the face off cleanly won followed by a slap shot finding the top corner from Ben Knock (wearing #6) in only 6 seconds. This set the tone for the next 10 minutes, Kingston pushed hard and worked the ball perfectly scoring another 4 unanswered goals. The pace then lessoned as K.S.F. slowed due to the early beginnings of fatigue. The Allstars used this opportunity well shooting then picking up an easy rebound in the slot to find the five hole on Kingston's new signing Ben Nibblett #1. Towards the end of the first the Allstars cleverly rested the odd player when they could, sacrificing even numbers and though Kingston found the space to score again it was disallowed purely due to both refs not seeing the shoot from halfway hit home and bounce straight back out! 5-1 at the end of the first. The second period Kingston fielded veteran keeper Mike Sheppard #96 and had a quickened pace realising slowing down only helped the tiring Allstars. Allstars in turn employed a defensive strategy which clogged up the middle making Kingston work the ball up the wings to find space. Kingston were rewarded by 2 more goals which were beautifully executed by a series of quick pass and move plays for relatively easy finishes. A costly error on the break though rewarded one lucky Allstar player with a confident finish making it 7-2. As the game rolled on K.S.F. actually missed many golden opportunities but had control and gradually added a further 3 goals hitting double figures for the first time this season. Kingston's over confidence though cost them in the closing minutes as a turnover was converted by the Allstars to add a hard fought after 3rd goal. Full credit has to given to the Allstars for never giving up and playing a good clean game of Skater Hockey. K.S.F. Goal Scorers: Knock #7 1+0, Beattie #68 1+0, Paul #49 3+3, Nibblett #86 3+2, Brayne #78 1+1, Burnup #7 1+0 Report by Barry Skene.
  • 06/2009 - K.S.F. 1 - Oxford 8: Sunday June 14th, Another really tough match for the juniors, against an unbeaten Oxford side, again having to play short handed this time with 5 players and one goalie. The team fort right to the end frustrating Oxford every inch of the way, in a match filled with controversy and a red card against Oxford for hacking at our goalies neck the team never gave up. Despite the loss I'm very proud of their performance, I couldn't asked them to do more than they did, well done. Team Members Kriss Sheppard - Captain, Harry Bell - Assistant, Sonny Brayne, Jason Pollard, Ryan Pollard and Mark Pollard Goalie. Ryan Pollard Score the only Goal. Man of the match Mark Pollard. Report by Gary Pollard.
  • 06/2009 - K.S.F. 4 - Oxford 3: In another big game a win was a must, both to keep in touch of the top of the league and to keep the momentum going after a decent win against the Frogs. Unfortunately we had been hit with 2 blows before the game, defenseman Ryan Harding has injured his finger and will be out for approx 6 weeks and Chris 'Captain Chaos' Burnup was away for the weekend celebrating his birthday. So we entered the game with 7 players, a strong start was needed and that exactly what we did. Playing by far the best hockey of the season, KSF kept possession in the Oxford half for much of the period, restricting Oxford to dumping & only getting long shots away. However the Oxford goalie was proving very difficult to beat, and at half time the score was only 1-0 to KSF. a massive credit has to go to the Oxford keeper for playing so well to keep the score down. The aim in the second half was to carry on in exactly the same manner, however Oxford had different plans and came out very strong, they fore checked very hard and made life very difficult for us, their hard work paid off as they managed to pull 2 quick goals back, with only a reply of Sonny Brayne to make the scores even. With the combination of hard work from Oxford, the heat of the day & only having 7 players the Kingston began to tire and soon enough the score was 3-2 to Oxford. Chances to score now were becoming harder to come by and it was flyers keeper Ben Niblett who had to step up to the plate and make some big saves. KSF hung in there and managed to keep the game tight at 3-2 for a long period of time, however all that changed with a few minutes to go as a penalty was called on Oxford. KSF PP. with 1.30 remaining in the game Laurence White managed to set Pete Niblett up with a nice feed for an easy goal, game tied at 3-3. To the credit of the Kingston team, they didn't settle for a draw and with 44 seconds remaining in the game, captain Justin Beattie managed to set up Niblett again for an easy finish to make the score 4-3 Kingston. The hard work didn't stop there however as a lead had to be defended and defend it we did, keeping the ball up in the Oxford half and not letting them have a shot on goal. In an excellent game, where credit has to go to both sides for playing some great hockey, KSF managed to come out the victors 4-3. Report By Justin Beattie.
  • 06/2009 - K.S.F. 0 - Brighton 10: Sunday May 17th, The juniors suffered a 10 nil defeat against Brighton on Sunday, however it was the gutsiest performances from the junior side I have seen. With only one line and no reserves the 5 man team, Kris Sheppard, Harry Bell, Jason Pollard, Ryan Pollard and Mark Pollard, played the whole game against a 3 line strong Brighton side. Well done to the team for not giving up. Special mention to Kris and Harry, the only substantive Junior players, that held the team together and even though both were sick several times throughout the game continued to play The whole team, right to the end, held their heads high, frustrated Brighton fighting and checking right to the final whistle. The guys where dead on there feet but despite the result is one of the proudest performances I have seen from the side. Report by Gary Pollard.
  • 05/2009 - K.S.F. 2 - Swindon 6: Sunday May 17th, After an uncertain start due to me having to scrounge various pieces of goalie kit from other teams as our loan kit had not been returned we took the face off with a goalie and 1 line. All the way through the first half the team gave as good as they got. Swindon had scored within the first minute, but as always we kept our heads up and battled on. Swindon went on and scored 3 more goals in the first half but Gerrard who stepped up in goal did a fantastic job and kept loads of potential goals out. The 2nd half Vipers decided not to roll over and tired, only 1 time out left and no subs they played some really good hockey and had a lot more shots on the Swindon goal. It all paid off when Ollie Bish hit home from halfway straight into the top corner of Swindon’s net. The Pee Wees went mad with celebration. This in turn must have given that extra push they needed with Ollie scoring again before the final whistle to finish 6-2 to Swindon. After the game the referee came over to our bench and said how impressed he was with our teams spirit and enjoyment of the game, they are a credit to our club, well done. Oliver Bishop, Jamie Dowds, Jamie Banks, Rueben Brayne and Gerrard Mathews (GK).Report by Sue Pearson.
  • 05/2009 - K.S.F. 2 - Reading 12: Sunday May 17th, The match between KSF Vipers Juniors and Reading ended up being a very one side affair and a very poor showing from the Juniors. Although the juniors were playing short handed and places made up from the youth squad, the team never really got into the game. It should have been quite within there reach but the Juniors played with no will to win. Final score 12 - 2 to Reading. Game was marked again by sending offs, in total 5, which we had hoped to have stopped this season. 2 for Illegal use of stick, 1 for Slashing, 1 for Roughing and 1 for too may men on pitch. The 2 goals were scored by Kriss Sheppard, assisted by Matt Cleary and 1 scored by Sonny Brayne. Report by Gary Pollard.
  • 05/2009 - K.S.F. 5 - Frogs 3: The game was against the Frogs and it was a game of firsts. Before the game started KSF were aware that they had an even better chance of getting a result as the Frogs had no proper goalie and so had to use forward Danny Martin in net. The game started well for the flyers, which were looking to put the Frogs and their new keeper under pressure. They managed to do this well and were getting lots of shots off, unfortunately it wasn't as easy as they thought it was going to be and Martin was proving to be a very good emergency goalie. Kingston were on top for the majority of the first half but could not find a way past the keeper, as the half wore on the Frogs were coming into it more and more and KSF'S OAP goalie Mikey Shepphard was being called into action more and more. The breakthrough finally came from Captain Beattie who managed to find a way past Martin's glove with a quick shot. 1-0 KSF. However the Frogs came right back into it straight away and after a save from Mikey the ball was under his leg pad and was pushed in by a Frog to tie the game. In what was a bit of a controversial goal as the ball appeared to be covered before Mikey's pads were forced over the line, but the goal stood. Just before half time Ben Knock managed to step up form D and score to make it 2-1 at half time. The second half started much the same as the first, with a lot of time being spent in the Frogs half. Frogs were still looking dangerous however and Mikey was doing well in goal. After a slight change in the forward line ups the breakthrough was made after a neat feed from Pete Niblett captain Beattie calmly controlled & finished top corner for a 3-1 lead. However once again the Frogs came back and after a defensive zone mistake by KSF, which led to a 2 on 0 the other way the Frogs were back in the game at 3-2. The play was now end to end and after a huge hit by a Frog, which should have really been called for charging, Pete Niblett seemed to make a nice hit back....which was then called as a penalty, which was harsh. However the number one penalty kill unit of Beatie, White & Skene came out and did their job well....very well in fact as Beatie managed to score from a blistering slap shot for the hat trick, his first of the season. In the final few minutes Frogs really came on strong and after some more PP time for the Frogs they were in KSF's half a lot. In the last 2 minutes a penalty shot was awarded to Frogs as the ball was shot over the boards. At this point Mikey was shattered and so asked for our newly signed keeper Ben Niblett to step in. Ben has been out of hockey for 2 years and had one training session back before this game. So the first shot of his KSF career turned into the first save of his KSF career after a brilliant glove from the shot. Frogs were still piling on the pressure and pulled a goal back through a rocket of a shot that lodged in the goal. Score 4-3 a frantic finish was in store as Frogs pulled their keeper to create a 5 on 4, however KSF defended well and Pete Niblett managed to score on an empty net to finish the game off with a 5-3 win. Great result for the guys and well done to Mikey & Ben who came up big with the right saves at the right time Report By Justin Beattie.
  • 05/2009 - Young Blood: KSF are pleased to announce the signing of young Goal Tender Ben Niblett to add to the 2009 roster. Ben the brother of KSF's very own sharp shooter Pete Niblett has been off the skates for 2 years whilst touring with his successful band. In between his band’s commitments he will now be wearing the infamous 'Flying F' and filling the pipes to help Kingston in this seasons competitive campaign. Ben previously played for Shene Young Bloods who before folding played at the highest level in Skater hockey with success in both Jnr and Snr categories.
  • 05/2009 - Skener back in action: Assistant Captain 'RED' Barry Skene has returned from injury and should be skating in this weekends match up against the Staring Frogs. Defenseman Skene was out for 3 weeks due to an ankle injury from a slap shot during training. Thankfully rumours of a broken ankle were not the case and only ligament damage was sustained.
  • 04/2009 - K.S.F. 6 - Swindon 9: Since their 6-5 defeat in the nationals to Swindon, KSF have been looking forward to this match and been training hard for revenge. KSF were forced to play a small squad due to missing youngster Sonny Brain and Power D man Barry Skene - out due to injury. Despite this the boys came out flying with Egyptian international Ronald Paul notching up 2 quick goals with a couple of trade mark slap-shots. Swindon refused to roll over and were soon back in the game with some well worked goals. KSF barely had time to blink when Swindon added their 3rd taking the tally to 3-2 at the half time break. The following half would have been an exciting one for the fans as KSF drove hard to exploit the net of Swindon. A few quick goals for both teams in the middle of the period saw the game get a little scrappy and Swindon taking their first penalty of the game. The conclusion was a goal from KSF bringing them within 1 goal of levelling the score. A quick shot from the face off saw Swindon back in front by 2 and KSF still chasing. A well worked goal for Pete Nibblett and a strong back hand from Lau White finding the 5 hole and KSF were right back in it. Sadly revenge was not on the cards and Swindon found the net again and finally with the closing seconds of the game, a 3 on 3 resulted in Swindon's 9th, putting the game out of reach of the flyers. Report By Ben Knock .
  • 04/2009 - K.S.F. 6 - Ash 6: A tough game is always guaranteed against Ash and with KSF missing two players (Ryan Harding & Ronald Paul) it was going to made even tougher. With only 7 players inspirational captain/leader of men & lover to many women Justin Beattie moved up to play in his favoured forward position, which left only 3 D. The game started off at a fast pace and Kingston managed to edge ahead from a quick wrist shot from the boards by Pete Niblett that surprised the Ash keeper and went into the bottom corner. It came as no surprised that Ash rallied and came right back into the game, forechecking hard and crashing the net at every opportunity. They scored from a well worked free hit and after a busy period of play for Mike Shepphard in goal they managed to gain a 4-1 lead. Kingston managed to hit back before the break through Pete Niblett again to leave the score at 4-2 at half time. The second half saw a much better performance from Kingston, they played much more as a unit and managed to start passing the ball well. Justin Beattie fed Pete Niblett with a nifty feed behind his back & through 2 Ash players that led to a breakaway, in this form there was no stopping Niblett and he finished with ease to get his hat-trick, score 4-3 Ash. It was Beattie again who managed to step up and score after nice individual run, followed by a beautiful pass to Burnup, which was missed by both Burnup & the Ash keeper. 4-4. 2 coincidental minors were taken by Kingston & Ash, but during the 3 on 3 play Kingston came up big with 2 goals, firstly from Ben Knock with the second from Niblett to get his fourth goal of the game. With the match drawing to a frantic end Ash started to battle back and after some poor coverage within their own zone Ash managed to grab a goal from a rebound. In the last minute of play and Ash coming on strong a dump down the pitch to get a line change went inadvertently out, so due to the new rules brought in this year that meant a penalty shot. The penalty shot was scored and the game was tied at 6-6, the last few seconds were frantic with both teams going for the win, but in the end the score remained 6 all, in what was probably a fair result. Report by Justin Beattie.
  • 04/2009 - K.S.F. 2 - Reading 7: Sunday April 19th, The juniors start, looked promising, but through most of the middle game they didn't look as though they wanted to win. The game had periods of play that showed what they are capable of and towards the end they started to come back but were unable to capitalize on their efforts. Both teams had 2 penalties against each other. The two goal scorer's were Sonny Brayne and Harry Bell. Thanks to Pete Nibblet for his assistance on the bench. Report by Gary Pollard.
  • 04/2009 - K.S.F. 13 - Banbury 4: Sunday April 5th, A good fairly easy game for the juniors who won 13 to 4. Should and could have been more, with Banbury given the chance to score too often by some slack play. The guys had some very good periods of interplay showing what they can do. Well done guys. Matt Cleary lead the way with 6 goals and 1 assist, Sonny Brayne 4 goals 2 assists and Harrison Bell 3 goals 1 assist. The team had two 2 minute penalties, one for cross checking and one for delay of game (unavoidably laying in goal crease, which caused Tyler Cook-Abbott have to face a penalty. which they missed. Man of the match goes to Oliver Curl in his first game as a junior, excellent effort Oliver. Report by Gary Pollard.
  • 29/2009 - K.S.F. 3 - Oxford 5: At 15:10 K.S.F. Faced off against Oxford Fong Pei for their 3rd game of the 2009 season. The game gathered pace well and Oxford scored their first from a powerplay after K.S.F. Pete Niblett served 2 minutes for a harsh Interference call. Both teams matched each other with differing styles of play and Kingston's Sonny Brayne scored next but the goal was disallowed. It was Oxford who permanently added to the score board just before the end of the 1st period with a well placed top shelf slap shot on the break down the right wing. HALF TIME SCORE OXFORD 2 – K.S.F. 0. Kingston new they had to up their game in the second but Oxford even after choosing to field there 2nd Keeper showed no signs of giving into the added pressure. Oxford then added another to their score sheet which put K.S.F. against the ropes and it wasn't until a free shot was awarded to the Kingston based side halfway through the second that Justin Beattie delivered a text book pass for Ronnie Paul to hit home with some venom. Unfortunately Oxford had other plans and within a minute renewed their 3 goal cushion to make it 4 with a low wrist shot to the right-hand side of Kingston's Mike Sheppard. Time ticked slowly by and with countless missed opportunities it wasn't until a point shot by Ben Knock from a won face off deep inside Oxfords half that Kingston clawed one back. The game then saw both teams raising the bar once more in a frantic pace to to achieve their own desired result. Then with an intercepted break out by K.S.F. an Oxford player found himself going for a 50/50 ball with Keeper Mike Sheppard leaving his net and though the initial shot was wide another Oxford Player cleaned up with only the empty net as his only opponent. With less then a minute remaining Kingston went all out and salvaged one back when Barry Skene picked up a rebound from Pete Niblett's shot to feed Ronnie Paul for a one time tap in just outside their crease. Unfortunately it was just too little to late. FINAL SCORE 5-3 OXFORD .
  • 03/2009 - K.S.F. 6 - Ash 7: Sunday March 15th, The first half saw some great play by forwards Adam Southey #10 and Jamie Banks #45. Both scoring a goal each. Ollie Bishop #(Captain) played well in defence and scored a cracking 3rd goal. Jamie Banks came through again with another ghoal taking them up to 4 – 2 at the end of the 1st half. The Second half a 6 second goal was scored off the face off and then again to tie the game 4 minutes later. Hamsa made some great saves in the second half but despite this tiredness began to set in as the squad only had a line + 1. The defence (Gerrad and Ollie) though never gave up. Then Adam Southey scored his 2nd goal breaking the tie to lead 5-4. The game went on to be very close indeed with Ollie Bishop getting his second goal of the match. Ash though seeme4d unstopple with a larger squad they added and added to the pressure scoring 3 more times to take the win 7-6. A Good defensive game by the team, with some good passing between Rueben, Jamie and Adam. Report by Sue Pearson.
  • 03/2009 - K.S.F. 4 - Swindon A 6: Sunday March 22, A hard loss for the team as they were all over Swindon till 10 to 15 minutes before the end, losing 6 to 4. The team had a very hard time having to play the match short handed and the fitness told in the end. They played with heart and team work throughout, one of the best games I've seen them play. Hard luck but very well done. Report by Gary Pollard.
3 - Brighton 7: Sunday March 8, It was always going to be a tough match, but the juniors made it harder on themselves with several sending offs, and a first half performance that lacked lustre and passion. The second half saw them raise their game, but they had left themselves too much to do. Man of the match went to Kearney Cook-Abbott, who scored one of the games goals from a pass from Sonny Brayne.
  • 03/2009 - K.S.F. 4 - AllStars 3: Sunday 8th March at 14.15 Kingston lined up in their white kit to face off against the AllStars. A very quick paced game from the start set the pace. The first goal only came until halfway through the first peroid from a converted powerplay with a one timer by #7 Chris Burnup from a slot pass by #9 Barry Skene. The pace continued with both teams trading post rattleing shots and the odd penalty. With less than a minute remaining the AllStars levelled the score with a strong shot on a break away. The second peroid saw Kingston begin to take hold and set up camp in their half but with some excellent goalkeeping from the AllStar's keeper (who seemed more like a wall) Kingston failed to score until gifted with another Powerplay in which #17 Ben Knock drove home an excellently placed point shot. The Allstars were by no means written off and with a dump and chase tatic employed they bounced back within five minutes tieing the score again at 2-2. A free shot awarded to Kingston from a new '09' rule saw Justin Beattie #68 set up an unstopable one time slap shot from #49 Ronnie Paul. A power cut threatened the game towards the end but luckily play continued and a sneaky 4th goal was taken by #5 Pete Nibblet poking it in at the crease, assisted by #49 Ronnie Paul. With a 2 goal buffer the game seemed in the bag but full credit to the Allstars for pushing until the very end which gained them their final 3rd goal with only 3 seconds left!
  • 03/2009 - K.S.F. 2 - Ash 1: Sunday March 1, in the last game of the day, saw KSF Vipers Juniors win by 2 to 1, in a very closely fought game with Ash Avalanche Typhoon, both goals scored by Harry Bell. With the team spending what seemed like most of the 2 half short handed, they hung on again and again to keep Ash at bay. Special mention for man of the match, this week jointly held by Khalid Abdulwahid who saved the team and kept the goals out even when the defence had disappeared, and to Kris Sheppard for keeping himself available as point man and for saving the team as the last point of defence again and again. Well done guys and well done the whole team.
  • 03/2009 - Breaking Records: Sonny Brayne #74 scored 17 goals + 2 assists against Swindon on the 15th Feb which the club believes is a record for most goals scored in one game by a K.S.F. player. There is unfortunatley a rummor that former player Kieran Pinkney #28 notched up an impressive 19 goals in one Jnr game but until that can be certified the record is awarded to Sonnie, at least until someone else can beat it! GOOD LUCK!
  • 02/2009 - Ryan resigns: After taking 2008 out from playing hockey and concentrating on boxing #18 Ryan Harding has resigned for K.S.F. Ryan served as the bench coach for last years nationals which may have given him a taster of what he had given up. Ryan has a great eye for the game and has a natural goal scoring trait which will be of an advantage to the Reds in games to come this season.
  • 02/2009 - K.S.F. 8 / Reading 2: An under strength Reading Rhino team faced off against K.S.F. for the beginning of the 2009 season. The game saw patches of great hockey and the referees let the game flow well considering the stricter rules that are now in place. In all a comfortable start to the Reds 2009 campaign. Goal scorers: Ronald Paul 4+0, Pete Nibblet 3+2, Chris Burnup 1+0. Penalties: Laurence White 2 minute minor for interference.
  • 02/2009 - K.S.F. Vipers 28 - Swindon 1: Break down of the scorers is as follows:- Sonny Brayne #74, scored 17 + 2, Matt Cleary #48 - 5 + 1, Joshua Holley #25 - 4 + 2, Kris Sheppard #15 - 1 + 1. One goal was listed as an own goal which Kris Sheppard has claimed. The JNR team have certainly set the bar for the 2009 season. Some terrific hockey was being played and the Vipers moved the ball around well against a younger unexperienced Swindon side. Hopefully we will get see plenty more goals this season from them.
  • 02/2009 - New B.I.S.H.A. Rules: Every Ice / Inline hockey assoication throughout the world eventually conforms to looking at the NHL as a basis to rules and regulations. B.I.S.H.A. are now towing the line and tidying the game up in regards to off the ball interference. Though in theory this should open the game up more for quicker faster offensive players it will slow the game down with more stops and penalties and make it harder to utilise a strong defensive system. Off the ball man marking will become much harder to do.
  • 01/2009 - K.S.F. Vipers all change: The Viper Senior squad have secured a new training slot on wednesdays from 19.00 -21.00 at Nescott Sports Hall. This is in place of their old Saturday slot which many senior players struggled to make last season. The session is open to all JNR players and is 10pounds to non club members.
  • 01/2009 - New Coach Assigned: Kingston are pleased to announce Guy Nibblet as the teams 2009 Head Coach. Guy coached the very successful Shene Young Bloods until they unfortunatley folded in 2007. K.S.F. approached Guy after the 2008 Nationals in the hope he would be interested in the role as K.S.F. believe his coaching skills and eye for the game are what the team is in need of to step up a gear for 2009.
  • 01/2009 - Like Buses: With a void in the net were Lewis once stood Kingston were not looking forward to the beginning of the 2009 season. Luckily old Jnr K.S.F. keeper Gary Prince #39 has decided to dust off the pads and make a bid to return to former glory as a senior. Within the same week Veteran Vipers keeper Mike Sheppard #96 also signed the transfer papers and will also be wearing the red shirt this season.
  • 01/2009 - Lewis steps aside: Kingston are dissappointed to announce Goal Tender Lewis Sheppard White has decided not to continue playing Skater Hockey and instead concentrate his efforts in Puck Inline Hockey. Kingston wish him the very best of luck with his new team.

  • 01/2009 - Nationals Placing Game 2: With one game remaining and pride at stake Kingston came out firing on all cylinders against Championship first timers Brighton Street Stormers. Taking control from the offset Kingston scored 8 unanswered goals and achieved a shut out to end a hard fought but dissappointing 2008 Nationals. Kingston final placing 11th.
  • 01/2009 - Nationals Placing Game 1: Kingston faced off against old friends / rivals Swindon Mustangs on the Sunday morning. Kingston started strongley and gained a 3 goal lead before Swindon answered back. From their Swindon took the game to Kingston and managed to tie the game up. Just before end of regular play a fight between Swindon's Ozzy Osbourne and Kingston's Barry Skene #9 brook out.
