2009 League Begins February

  • 11/2008 - Ryan back in the Trenches: Ryan Harding has come out of retirement to run the bench at this years National Championships. Ryan has played for various top teams and has a great eye for the game and will serve as the backbone for the team. All the players welcomed the decision and are glad to have him back.
  • 11/2008 - Groups Announced: The scedule and groupings have been annouced for this years SNR National Championships the first game is against the London Street Warriors at 10.30 and the second group game is against West Coast Wasps at 13.30. Come along and show your support!.
  • 11/2008 - Oliver Paul makes Dream Team: Oli won the 2008 Senior B League Dream Team Award at the League presentation on Sunday 26th Oct. A complete line of 5 players inc a goalie are voted for by opposing teams within the league. The vipers clinched 3rd in the B league with Oli being a key factor of their success. The Club this year picked up 3 Dream Team Awards spanning 3 age groups.
  • 11/2008 - Mathew Cleary makes Dream Team: Mat won the 2008 Youth Dream Team Award at the League presentation on Sunday 26th Oct. 4 players and a keeper are voted for by opposing teams within the league. Mat who is Captain of the Youth squad, now has to lead his team at the Youth Nationals taking place on the 8th and 9th November.
  • 11/2008 - Vipers asked to step up: K.S.F. Vipers have been asked to supply a line of their best to compete with and against the first team at every thursday night K.S.F. training session. The line will be selected by their coach every week, depending on performance and attendance at their own Saturday session.
  • 10/2008 - Sonny gets Dream Team: Sonny Braine won the 2008 Junior Dream Team Award at the League presentation on Sunday 26th Oct. Only 4 players and a goalie get voted by opposing teams. An impressive accomplishment considering the Junior team finished in last place this season.
  • 09/2008 - Sonny in before transfer deadline: It's been a long time coming for Junior Sonny Braine but finally he has had the call up to lace up for the Reds. This now means Sonny will have transferred from K.S.F.'S Viper team in time to play in his first Senior Nationals.
  • 09/2008 - Ashley Hughes signs in time: K.S.F. are pleased to announce the late signing of defenceman Ashley Hughes. Ashley managed to notch up his first goal in his first ever game for the club in the last season game against hard fought Reading Rhinos. K.S.F. hope to see many more from the ex GB player who has also played for top teams such as Brighton Street Stormers and Oxford Fongpei.
  • 08/2008 - Youth Qualify for Nationals: K.S.F. Vipers's Youth team have made this years nationals taking place in November. Season Coach K.S.F. Justin Beattie was delighted with their hard work which earned them the spot and believes the squad have what it takes to go all the way.
  • 07/2008 - K.S.F. seal 3rd in top league: Last year was one to forget for the team but this year is another chapter for K.S.F., seeing an impressive return to form in the league which has guaranteed them a spot in this years national championships. This is the first time since 2005 the squad has made the championships.
  • 06/2008 - Sonny Makes Great Britain Team: 17yr old K.S.F. Viper Sonny Braine made the final cut for the Junior GB Team and represented his country and club in Germany picking up a Bronze medal in this years European Championships. Well done our Lad!
  • 05/2008 - Joe takes a break: Long serving Defenceman Joe Erskine #31 has chosen to take a well earned break from the club due to work commitments but looks to resign with the club for the 2009 season.
  • 05/2008 - Harmer has a Water Break: Defenceman Steve Harmer #22 has had to step down from the team for a greater cause. Harmer who is also a Professor of Science At UCL is researching fizzy water naturally found underground that can possibly be used as a renewable energy source to help save the planet. We hope he can help the human race and K.S.F. before its to late.
  • 04/2008 - Higher Education: K.S.F. have signed young talent Chris Burnup #7 from the UWE Tigers (University of West England). At over 6ft and a speed that matchs our Ronnie Rocket #49, the quick forward is the latest signing to add to the '08' roster. Chris has played at Local, National and International level and is a great asset for the club to have accuired.
  • 03/2008 - NEW Blood: Kingston are pleased to announce the signing of Pete Nibblet who last year played for the Shene Young Bloods who unfortunatley did not enter a team this year. Pete was one of a strong core of young and up coming talented JNR players who showed the league how competitive a small young squad can be and K.S.F. are glad to welcome him aboard for the '08' season.
  • 02/2008 - K.S.F prove their worth: The Flyers though the underdogs at this years Karsst tournament in Germany stepped up to the task at hand coming in a respectable 9th in the end and reaching the quarter finals. All the lads worked hard in preparation on and off the pitch and proved they are not to be taken lightly this year.
  • 01/2008 - New Season New Shirts: Finally the day is approaching for the debut of the new kit. 2 versions have been made, the K.S.F. Vipers (Green) for the 4 teams of all age groups who last year were known as Sutton Vipers and K.S.F. (Red) for the 1 original K.S.F.
  • 01/2008 - Ryan Harding out: Long time K.S.F. player Ryan Harding #18 has decided not to resign for the '08' season due to work commitments and ongoing injuries. Harding is a great talent on the pitch and very well liked off and and has been with the club for years. K.S.F. would like to thank Ryan and wish him all the best for the future.
  • 01/2008 - Skene gets 3 games: Barry Skene #9 who was involved in a fight towards the end of last season against Ash has been issued with a 3 match ban from B.I.S.H.A. Skene had already served 2 of the games last season so will miss the first game of the new season which so happens to be against ASH (probaly for the best!).
  • 01/2008 - Karrst Confirmed: K.S.F. have accepted the invite to the Karrst tournament along with 2 other English teams, The London Street Warriors and Sir Lankin Staring Frogs (2007 National championship winners and runners up).
  • It is fair to say that K.S.F. are really a wild card pick for this years event as they did not have a great last season. Every other team attending are within the top 2 in thier country of origin so some excellent hockey can be expected again.
  • 01/2008 - Who's Captain?: Voting took place to reassign the Assistant and Captain roles on the K.S.F. Red team. After the count up there will be little change with Beattie #68 remaining captain and Skene #9 staying as assistant. Ben Knock #17 will be the second choice if either cannot make a game.
  • 01/2008 - Whiston is benched: Colin Whiston has returned from 'semi suclusion in notheren canada' to be the bench coach for the Original K.S.F. team once again. Colin is the only coach to lead the team to not 1 but 2 JNR National championship in a row. He is also the only ex K.S.F. player to have had his number retired.
  • 01/2008 - Presentation a success: The end of 2007 saw the newly merged club presentation take place were firstly a game was played between K.S.F. and Vipers. The game was quite close and Vipers guested Original K.S.F. player Richard 'Rambo' Petican (the clubs offical main sponsor). The new kit and the club awards were given out ncluding a signed framed banner from all the past and present K.S.F. players given to the long term accounts manager Colin Moore.
